Understanding Criminal Justice Program
FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I attend a seminar/read
the material?
The criminal justice system is complex and can be very confusing.
Having an attorney and getting legal advice is only part of the
solution. Without an understanding of the criminal justice process, it
is hard to understand any legal advice you receive.
Who can participate? Anyone. There are no restrictions on who can attend a seminar or receive the Advocacy Project's publications.
How much does it cost? Nothing but your time and any travel expenses to get to the seminar presentation. (We are currently preparing online video seminars and will make them available as soon as possible.)
How does it work? Just check the schedule of upcoming seminars and find one that will fit into your schedule. Please let us know which seminar you plan to attend so that we may be better prepared. You don't need to prepare or bring anything with you - we do recommend you wear comfortable clothes. For
